THE THINKING BELIEVER
Faith does not require the absence of questions. It requires the courage to ask them,
'THE THINKING BELIEVER' explores the space where faith meets philosophy, where conviction meets curiosity, and where questioning becomes part of the journey towards truth.
Because thinking deeply does not have to lead you away from believe.
Sometimes, it leads you deeper into it.
THE STORY
I did not write this book because I believe I have figured everything out. I wrote it because I realised how much I still had to understand.
For years, I have been fascinated by the human mind. Why do we think the way we think? Why do we repeat patterns we genuinely want to change? Why can two people experience the same situation and walk away with completely different interpretations? My faith introduced me to questions about God, purpose, identity and truth. My interest in psychology led me towards questions about behaviour, emotions, thought and the patterns that shape us. I began to realise that maturity is not simply knowing more. It is having the humility to examine yourself, recognise when you are wrong, distinguish between what you know and what you assume, and allow truth to challenge you.
That is where The Thinking Believer was born.
This book is not an attempt to choose between faith and reason. It is an invitation to bring them into conversation. I believe we have more agency than we sometimes realise. We cannot control every circumstance, another person’s decisions or everything that happens to us. But we can learn to take responsibility for our attention, our interpretations, our responses and our choices. That realisation has been deeply personal for me.
I know what it is like to feel trapped inside repetitive patterns, to carry stress because your mind will not slow down, and to wonder whether you are capable of changing. But a pattern is not a destiny. A mistake does not have to become an identity. Your past can explain you without permanently defining you. Change often begins with something small: becoming aware, telling yourself the truth and making a different choice. So I did not write this book to give you another person’s mind to borrow. I wrote it to encourage you to take responsibility for your own.
